The Milford Historical Society public meeting will be held Wednesday, March 20 and will include a presentation on revisions to our by-laws. Members present will be able to vote on their acceptance. Following the meeting, the program will be presented by Roberta Douglas and Charlie Annand.
Roberta will speak about the Hitchiner Manufacturing property, including a history of the Jacob Hutchinson house and barn, which now functions as Hitchiner offices and a restaurant.
Charlie will speak about the Hutchinson Family Singers: their early years in Milford, rise to national and international fame, their contribution to the temperance and abolitionist movements and their influence on a uniquely American style of music.
