Here is one of three photos of what was known as Twin Elm Farm. It was the homestead of Claude and Louse Hammond. Twin Elm Farm was on what most know today as Hammond road, where Willette furniture was and where Contemporary Dodge's new dealership is today. When these series of pictures were taken however, it was known as Federal Hill road. Before the Route 101 Bypass was constructed, Hammond road and today's Federal Hill road were one in the same. The Hammond homestead sat approximately where the bypass is today and was torn down when the new road went in. Thanks to Steve Hammond, Joanna Hammond Willette, and all of their families for sharing their memories!
