Milford, a town deeply rooted in history, now proudly features a second marker on the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire. Joining the existing tribute to Harriet Wilson in Bicentennial Park at 123 South Street, a significant unveiling ceremony took place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Maple Street residence of Liisa and David Palance. This new marker also commemorates Harriet Wilson, recognizing the years she spent as an indentured servant within the walls of what is now known as the Nehemiah Hayward Homestead. Heartfelt appreciation goes to David and Liisa Palance, as well as the dedicated individuals at the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire, for their commitment to honoring this remarkable figure in Milford’s past.
