Milford’s firemen were very proud of their work!  Back in early April of 1950, the men of the Milford Fire department converted an old flat-bed stake truck into their new forest fire truck, saving the tax-payers the cost of buying a new truck. They added a 300-gallon water tank, racks to carry hoses, and holders for their wearable Indian pump tanks that can be seen on the side of the truck. The bulk of the work on the truck was done on nights and weekends by Harold Dillon, Donald Dunklee, Robert Seavey, and Ellingwood McLane.
